Why old urine stains usually won't come out.

About urine stains: If not removed as quickly as possible, a substance in urine called urea will break down and produce ammonia, which will bleach carpet and leave a permanent stain.

So at that point, your carpet has actually been dyed a different color, and no matter how clean we get it, that old urine stain may not go away.

Solution:
When your pet has an accident (urine) it is best to clean up right away using a cotton towel or paper towels. Fold the towels thick and apply pressure to absorb the spot. Next rinse out the spot with vinegar and water spray and blot.
